Prime Doleshwar cruising to victory


The 8th game of the DPL between Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity and Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club is taking place at Savar. Khelaghar are batting now after losing the toss.
Khelaghar kept losing wickets at regular intervals as they became 73/4. The only decent innings from the top-order batsmen came from Robiul Islam Robi. He scored 35 runs before getting dismissed while no other batsmen could pass 20 runs.
Nazimuddin rescued Khelaghar from falling apart in front of Prime Doleshwar’s bowling by clubbing 51 runs. Al Menaria and Nazimuddin shared a 74-run stand before the latter got out.
After Nazimuddin’s exit, Al Menaria got out scoring 45 runs. Moinul Islam was unbeaten on 32 runs and Mahidul Islam Ankon made 3 runs before leaving the crease.
Farhad Reza got the first two wickets by scalping the wickets of Sadiqur Rahman and Nafees Iqbal who scored 6 runs and 3 runs, respectively. He later got the wickets of Al Menaria and Mahidul Islam as well.

Arafat Sunny, Arafat Sunny Jr. and Sharifullah also bagged a wicket apiece. Khelagahar registered a total of 199 runs for 7 wickets.
Prime Doleshwar were looking quite comfortable with the chase as they lost their first 2 wickets after posting 83 runs. However, a mini-collapse at 135 runs saw them lose 3 wickets in 18 runs.
Opening batsmen Imtiaz Hossain and Fazle Mahmud made 23 and 42 runs, respectively. Marshall Ayub scored 31 runs but the next two batsmen got out before going past 10 runs. Doleswar's batsman at no. 3, Farhad Hossain is still on the crease on 42 runs. Sharifullah is accompanying him with his score of 9 runs.
Prime Doleshwar now require 26 runs off the last 6 overs with 5 wickets still in hand.
