The 7th clash of the ongoing DPL between Gazi Group Cricketers and Shinepukur Cricket Club is currently taking place at Savar.

Winning the toss, Shinepukur captain opted to field first. Gazi Group lost four wickets while posting their first 77 runs. Jahurul Islam’s knock of 28 was the only decent innings among the batsmen who left the crease.

Zakir Ali Anik and Nadif Chowdhury then fought back and resisted further fall of wickets. Both picked up a fifty each but Shuvagoto Hom scalped his first wicket in the match by dismissing Nadif. Hom has bowled for 2 overs while conceding only 5 runs.

Anik clubbed 90 runs before getting dismissed by Mohammad Saifuddin. Rajat Bhatia played a crucial knock of 58 from 45 deliveries to help his team pose a good total.

Mohammad Saifuddin took two wickets while Sujon Hawlader, Raihan Uddin, and U-19 star Afif Hossain bagged one wicket apiece for Shinepukur. Gazi Group made 279 runs losing 6 wickets in the first 50 overs of the match.

While chasing the big total, Shinepukur did not lose any wickets until scoring 84 runs. Sabbir Hossain was dismissed by Mahedi after picking up his half-century. Sabbir made 55 runs and following his departure, another opener Shadman Islam got out scoring 40 runs.

Towhid Hridoy and Uday Kaul are on the crease now batting on 31 and 16, respectively.
