Chennai Super Kings franchise has faced a few hiccups heading to the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) in UAE. While 13 members including players have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Suresh Raina has also pulled out from the entire tournament.
Earlier, it was said that owing to a personal matter he has taken the decision but a recent report in Outlook revealed that there was a rift between him and MS Dhoni. N Srinivasan, who owns CSK, has said that the team will get over from this situation soon, while referring to it as 'success gets into the heads'.
A report in Outlook on Sunday suggested that Suresh Raina was not happy with the hotel room he was given there in the UAE. Raina found the COVID-19’s bio-bubble rules quite claustrophobic and wanted a room with a balcony like the skipper.

As per the report, N Srinivasan said that Raina's sudden exit has left the team in a sudden shock but captain MS Dhoni controlled the situation quite well.
"Cricketers are like prima donnas ... like the temperamental actors of the olden days. Chennai Super Kings have always been like a family and all seniors players have learnt to co-exist," told N Srinivasan.
"My thinking is that if you are reluctant or not happy, go back. I don't force anyone to do anything ... sometimes success gets into your head," Srinivasan further added.
"I spoke to MS (Dhoni) and he has assured me that even if the numbers go up, there was nothing to worry. He spoke to the players through a zoom call and asked them to remain safe. You really don't know who is a passive carrier," he shared.
As per the N Srinivasan, Suresh Raina wanted to return before the season starts.
"The season has not begun yet and Raina will certainly realise what he is missing and certainly all the money (a salary of 11 crores per season) he is going to lose," the CSK boss said.
The IPL will begin from September 19 in UAE.
