Former Australian fast bowler Shaun William Tait said the self-belief is the best indicator for a fast bowler to get his speed and rhythm back in cricket.
Tait also said if you want to get those things (speed and rhythm) back, you have to try your hundred percent and bowl in no doubt having self-possessed.

“When we come back from injury, it will take 2-3 months to get back to full speed of our international standard,” said Shaun Tait, who was one of the quickest bowlers in the world, but his best was seen only in the short formats for Australia, and even then only for a short while.
“If there is perseverance it is possible to get back to the previous standard. If you are confident and try your best, you will regain your pace,” Tait told in a live-chat programme with Cricfrenzy.com.
“It all depends on the mentality, and if you tell yourself I'll get my speed back. Only then is it possible. There is a possibility of getting injured again,” he added.
A brutal bowler with a shoulder-strong action, Tait’s body found the workload too tough in the long form and played only three Tests, and was done with first-class cricket by the age of 25.
Noteworthy, the right-arm fast bowler played only 35 ODIs along with 21 T20Is during his 11-year international career. He played his last international game against India on January 31, 2016.
