Indian pace bowler Sreesanth billed Shakib Al Hasan as a living legend of the game, expressing that Bangladesh ace all-rounder will strongly come back after finishing his year-long ban from international cricket.
Shakib’s ban will be uplifted on October 29 this year. Cricket fans around the world are hoping to see the old Shakib when he returns to the field. Just before his ban imposed by ICC, the mercurial all-rounder was in tremendous form with both bat and ball in the 2019 World Cup where he scored 606 runs and took 9 wickets in the extravaganza tournament.

“Shakib is a legend. He has proved himself. I have to prove myself in all the matches that I played for Kerala. It’s taken time for Bangladesh cricket to come to this stage. I wish Shakib well,” Sreesanth said.
“When Shakib returns to the game I’ll want him to score a century and take five wickets in the very first match. I’m very confident that he will do something like this. The form may be temporary, but the class thing is always there. Bad times motivate people to do better. I wish him all the best,” Sreesanth said in the Cricfrenzy lockdown live session.
“I can tell his fans that he has taken Bangladesh cricket to the next level. I’m by his side because I also spent 6-7 years in such a situation,” he added.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2013 has banned Sreesanth out of cricket for life for allegedly being involved in spot-fixing in Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.
Although it’s a little bit later, Sreesanth was acquitted by the court. The 36-year-old fast bowler has expressed his desire to play for Team India again.
