Bangladesh team spin consultant Daniel Vettori donated USD 5000 to the lower-tier staff of Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] as they are facing the most distress due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.

BCB officials stated that about 400 BCB third and fourth-grade staff have got this financial support from Vettori and players on Thursday.

Where Daniel alone donated Tk. four lakh to 135 staffs received it while player gave monetary support to other 265 staff.

Among other coaching staff of Bangladesh Cricket Board, Vettori is the highest-paid member, earning USD 250,000 for his 100-day contract, which will possibly end after the scheduled ICC T20 World Cup later this year.

Front row players of Bangladesh as well as the Under-19 players, First-Class cricketers along with the Cricket Welfare Association of Bangladesh [CWAB] have contributed in this fight against COVID-19.
