Mushfiqur reveal’s Kohli’s sledge inspires him to do well

Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim revealed that Indian skipper Virat Kohli's sledging motivate him on the field to perform well against India.
Earlier in a Facebook live session of Tamim Iqbal, India skipper Virat Kohli said that Mushfiqur Rahim's chatter behind the stumps give extra motivation to him.
Now on another Facebook live Mushfiqur hit back at Kohli stating that he credit him for performing well against India as he gets motivation from his sledging while he is batting against them.
"I would also like to say that I want to give credit to Kohli for all the good innings I have played against India since his arrival. Whenever I go to the wicket, he sledges me differently. He has been doing it always. I don't know he targets me especially or not, maybe he does it against everyone. Because he is very aggressive on the field, he wants to lead from the front,” Mushfiqur said.
"Every time he sledged me, what happened to him, it happened to me as well. It has inspired me a lot too. That is why you will notice that my record against India is a little better than other teams," he added.
The statistics also testify in favour of Mushfiqur's claim. His career batting average in Tests is 36.77, but against India it is 51.80. Test average on Indian soil is 55.16. Career batting average in T20Is is 20.03, but against India it is 32.71. In ODIs, however, the average against India is slightly lower than the career average.
Mushfiqur also said that in the 2017 Champions Trophy's 61 run innings, 2014 Asia Cup's 117 run innings and in the recent two-Test match in India where he scored 64 and 74, he was sledged so much which gave him an extra inspiration to do well against them.
“Their sledging has always gives me an extra inspiration. When I made a fifty in the Champions Trophy, a century in the Asia Cup in Fatullah, he said a lot even those times also. The Test series I played in India recently, I may not have scored a century, but I have done two fifties, he said many things on that day also. All in all, it has been good for me. I think it suits my game," Mushfiqur concluded.
