Akbar fails to get a place in BCB biggest celebration banner

Where is Akbar- the great? That turned out to be the talking point in the Bangladesh Cricket Board premises on Tuesday. The issue was raised right after BCB decided to put up a big banner in their building highlighting the celebration of ICC Under-19 World Cup winning cricketers.
Unfortunately, BCB failed to recognize the young man who was instrumental behind this great success with his cool captaincy and a match winning knock against India in the final- Akbar Ali.
BCB inserted different pictures of their cricketers who were celebrating after their historical win over India that helped them earn their first trophy in an ICC event.
But the fact Akbar, who had been instrumental behind this success, was ignored looked to be clear case of ignorance.
BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury admitted it and said that they will change it due time.
‘’Probably they did not get his [Akbar] picture while preparing it but we will change it and honestly speaking this is not the only banner as we have prepared many banners highlighting their accomplishment,’’ he said.
Bangladesh Cricket Board is gearing up to receive their golden boys as the ICC Under-19 World Cup winners are due to arrive today.
