We have 50-50 chance against SA- Akbar

Bangladesh Under-19 captain Akbar Ali said on Wednesday that they have 50-50 chances of winning the quarterfinal match against host South Africa in the ongoing ICC Under19 World Cup, slated on January 30th.
Bangladesh youth team had a very strong run going into the Under-19 World cup and though they completed the group phase as champions but their performance against Pakistan left lot to be desired as rain saved them from losing.
Bangladesh take on host South Africa on Thursday in the third quarterfinal of the Under-19 and captain Akbar Ali knows that the host country will be tough opposition.

‘’I think we have 50-50 chances of winning [against South Africa],’’ Akbar told reporters at the pre match press conference.
‘’They are a decent team and it will be challenging match and we can beat them easily if we bat and bowl well because doing well in two departments will guarantee success against them,’’ he said.
Akbar added that their bowlers will have to minimize their mistake and during the first and last power play and added batsman need to take more responsibility in the middle.
‘’We are trying to minimize our mistakes,’’ said Akbar.
We are focusing more on out batting and we are trying to bowl tightly in first power play and last power because bowling tightly will help us earn success agaist them and for that we will try to maintain our line and length against them,’’ he concluded.
The match against South Africa will be Bangladesh first big test as they are eyeing to clinch the ICC Under-19 World Cup.
