Cumilla Warriors batsman Dawid Malan said that he feels still there have a lot to play for and added that they were probably 15 runs short against Rajshahi Royals during their last game at Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Tuesday.
Malan’s valiant century was not enough to seal the deal as Afif Hossain put a shed on him to help Rajshahi Royals record a seven-wicket victory over Cumilla Warriors that helped them earn their fourth victory in five matches which propelled them to the second position of the point table with eight points behind Chattogram Challengers who has 10 points in seven games.

Malan struck a 54 ball-100 not out to help Cumilla post 170-8, which Rajshahi but that was not enough for them to avoid fourth defeat in six matches.
It is always nice to score a hundred and always nice to score runs. It is disappointing when you score a hundred and did not win the game,’’ Malan told reporters after the match.
You feel like you have contributed to the team in a winning position. It was disappointing from that point of view. We lost tonight but we were not far away. Probably we were 15 runs short and one good over could have won us the game,’’ he said.
‘’We still have got a lot to play for and we are still doing a lot of good things as a team-leading to the next game,’’ he said.
