BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has said that the board has complete clarity over MS Dhoni's future as an international cricketer.

"There is clarity, but certain things cannot be said on public platform," Ganguly was quoted in PTI adding that

"There is absolute clarity on MS Dhoni and you'll find out in time."

Speculations have been rife over Dhoni's future ever since the India's World Cup semifinal loss against New Zealand, post which the 38-year-old hasn't featured in the ODI and T20I squads.

In an event recently, Dhoni, while replying to a reporter, had asked him to not pose questions on his future until January, leading to further speculation. India's head coach Ravi Shastri had recently mentioned that the wicketkeeper-batsman's form in the 2020 IPL will be key to his future if he has to be considered for the T20 World Cup next year in Australia.

"We will see what happens, there's enough time. Of course it will get clear," Ganguly said in response to Shastri's comments.

Ganguly further claimed that there was enough transparency between the board, Dhoni and the selectors on his future.

"There's transparency between the board, MS and the selectors," he noted. "When you deal with such champions - MS Dhoni is an unbelievable athlete for India - certain things have to be kept within the closed doors. It's very transparent and everybody knows where they stand."
