Bangladesh Women’s A team conceded the T20 series after second-string Indian Women’s team thrashed them by 30 runs in the third match at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Monday.
The first two matches of the series were washed out due to consistent rain, so the only third game became the deciding match of the series and the hosts lost it to taste a 1-0 defeat.
Bangladesh Women’s earlier was whitewashed in three-match one-day series at the hands of the visitors.

Being sent to bat first, India Women’s A team scored 111-7 in the stipulated 20 overs and later their bowlers bowled in a disciplined way to restrict Bangladesh to 81-9.
In what seemed an easy target to achieve, Bangladesh A left in tittering 14-3, after Sanjid Islam, Murshid Khatun and Fargana Haque fell to single-digit figure.
Ritu Moni and captain Shaila Sharmin also failed to lift the side after which Nuzhat Tumpa and Fahima Khatun tried to claw back with 30-run partnership between them. But no one could convert their innings to big one, leaving Bangladesh A in further troublesome situation from which they couldn’t recover eventually.
Nuzhat was the top-scorer for the side with 15 while Fahima scored 13. Kanowar was the highest wicket-taker for India Women’s A with 8-3 while Meghana took 2-2.
For India, Tejal Hasabnis made 28 to be the highest scorer while Devika Vadiya scored 19. Opener Yastika Bhatia chipped-in-with 18.
