Jonty Rhodes applies to be India fielding coach

Former South African batsman and legendary fielder Jonty Rhodes applied for the fielding coach position of India national team. Rhodes confirmed this news in a website.
Rhodes said, he and his wife love India and he wants to do something for the country which has given him so much.

"Yes, I have applied for the position of India's new fielding coach. My wife and I love the country, and it has already given us so much. We have 2 children born in India," Rhodes said on "CricketNext".
Rhodes has the experience of coaching Indian cricketer previously. He had been the fielding coach of Mumbai Indians for a long time before parting ways with the franchise.
The BCCI has invited applications for various coaches positions for the Indian cricket team. It includes head coach, batting coach, bowling coach, and fielding coach. The last day of the application is July 30.
R Sridhar is the current fielding coach of India, whose contract was extended for 45 days till the end of the West Indies tour.
Rhodes application for the Indian fielding coach makes him one of the high profile to apply for the post. He was a legendary fielding of his time and also has the experience of coaching at the Indian soil.
