Bangladesh A is being outplayed by Afghanistan A over and over again in the ongoing bilateral series. They have already lost the two-match four-day series by 1-0 before being thumped by the Afghans in the first two one-day matches to trail the five-match series by 2-0.
A defeat in the third match that is going to be held on Wednesday will hand Afghans the unassailable 3-0 lead. So the match is their last chance to keep the series alive.

In the first match, Bangladesh A lost the match by a huge margin of 10 wickets. In the second match, they lost once again by four wickets.
To save the series, the next match is a must-win game for the Bangladesh A. But that won’t be easy because they will miss some experienced players like Sabbir Rahman, Mohammad Mithun, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Anamul Haque Bijoy and Farhad Reza. All of them have traveled to Sri Lanka to join the national team for the three-match ODI series. In their absence, Bangladesh A will have to overcome a much bigger hurdle as they failed to overcome the Afghans with the presence of these veteran players.
Afghanistan A will also want to clinch the series with a victory. So, veteran Imrul Kayes and young Afif Hossain of Bangladesh A will have to take some extra responsibility to save the series.
