Afghan captain Gulbadin Naib warns Bangladesh ahead of their World Cup clash on 24 June. Naib made their intentions clear as they have nothing to lose, they will try spoil other’s party too.
Afghanistan are at the bottom of the table with no win under their belt from their first six World Cup matches. They have no chance of going into the semis. On the other hand, Bangladesh is well on course for the semifinal, if they win their remaining three matches against Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan then there is good possibility of going through into the semis.

In the press, conference Naib gave a cheeky little message in form a Hindi song.
“ Hum to dube hain sanam, tujhe bhi leke dubenge”
Meaning : we are drowned ourselves, we will take you down too.
Afghanistan gave India run for their money in their last match. They restricted India to a total of Just 224 runs and was well in course until the very last over. Mohammad Shami’s hattrick spoils their hope of winning against India and they lost the match by 11 runs.
Bangladesh also played well in their last match against Australia. They scored 333 runs in the second innings while chasing a total of 381 runs. It was their third 300+ totals in this World cup. On the other hand Afghanistan haven’t put any 300+ total in the World cup so far.
Bangladesh will give their all to win today’s match but they will have to be cautious about the Afghan threat.
They will face each other at Southampton on June 24, the match will start at 3.30 pm ( BD Time ).
