Chittagong Vikings Robbie Frylinck said on Saturday that he was happy to keep his calm in the super over against Khulna Titans in the Bangladesh Premier League at SBNS on Saturday.

Frylinck did every possible thing with bat and bowl in a match that went right down the wire and guided Chittagong Vikings to win by Super Over against Khulna Titans on Saturday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

In doing so, he made his presence obvious intriguing way for his stellar effort in the first Super Over of the Bangladesh Premier League’s (BPL) entire history.

With the match ended in a tie after both side restricted to 151 in 20 overs allocation, vastly for Frylinck’s heroic, Chittagong Vikings managed to score 11 in the Super Over—a one over eliminator game. In adrenaline-pumping moment,  Frylinck propped up with bowling to defend the score, restricting Khulna Titans to 10 and thereby gave the side a second victory in the third match. And effectively he kept Khulna who played four matches so far, winless in the tournament.

‘’It’s tough. Like I said it was my first super over and I thought 11 runs were decent. I backed myself to defend it. Obviously I missed a little bit with Malan when he hit a four but you just needed to stay clam and when you batting or bowling and remained relaxed and stick with the plan,’’ said Frylinck after the game at Mirpur on Saturday.

‘’Touch wood, hopefully it kept going nicely. But I will keep saying it’s not me and how I am doing, I am happy team got two win in three matches. We almost made it three out of three but I am just happy to contribute. Someday my day, but may be seven days it would be another’s day. That’s important for the team. At the moment it’s going well for me and so I will take the luck and next game it might be someone else,’’ he added.
