Nasir recalls ‘mauka-mauka’, Kohli’s aggression

Former national cricketer Nasir Hossain said that he was overwhelmed to hear the 'mauka mauka' chant from the gallery after winning against India in 2015 home series.


Nasir said that he had no hard feelings against Virat Kohli but picking his wicket was very satisfying for him in the series.


During the first quarter-final in the 2015 World Cup between Bangladesh take on India, there was advertising titled 'mauka mauka' broadcasted by Indian media just before the match and it made fans of Bangladesh very furious.


However, the team and the fans didn't have to wait for so long as right after the World Cup Bangladesh hosted a series against India where after a fierce battle Bangladesh clinched the series with a 2-1 margin.

And the team India had to suffer that 'mauka mauka' chant which was delivered by the fans of Bangladesh.


In the Cricfrenzy lockdown live session Nasir Hossain how he enjoyed that moment as the whole India team was going to the dressing room and the gallery was chanting 'mauka mauka' towards them


"I felt very good about that, when the whole India team was going towards the dressing room [ with their head lowered down] the whole gallery was chanting 'mauka mauka'," Nasir said.


Nasir also shared his own satisfying moment where he got the wicket of Virat Kohli through his right-hand spin bowling ability though after being picked Virat stayed for few seconds in the wicket.


As per Nasir, it was the turning point for them, also he said that he has no hard feelings against Virat Kohli as he had played against Kohli from the Under-19 level and he knows very well about his nature and aggressiveness on the field.



"I've played against Kohli in the Under-19 and he is like this from that time. We try to be very aggressive on the field that might have happened on that day,’’ said Nasir.


‘’I don't have any hard feelings against him. I didn't sledge him or anything but it is true that I was very happy to get his wicket. Because we were in need of his wicket very much," he added.
