Mushfiqur claims to be in ‘prison’

Bangladesh veteran wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim said that being at home is the biggest punishment for him as he is unable to train or play.
Every person who is connected with Bangladesh cricket knows very well that Mushfiqur is the most hard-working cricketer of the national team, who made batting practice in the nets as an integral part of his life.
But due to the lockdown Mushfiq, he has been at home for a long time. Trying as much as he can do to make himself fit but sometimes the frustration of not being able to bat in an open field is swallowing him day by day.
Mushfiqur told a leading Bengali daily that being at home has become like being at the prison to him and considering it as the big punishment.
"Actually, this is a big punishment for me. If someone says, don't practice for two days, stay at home than that becomes a prison for me. No need to give any other punishment," Mushfiq said.
However, considering the situation Mushfiq is trying to cope with it.
"It feels very bad to be under house arrest. But there is nothing to do. Thinking of others who are helpless. May everyone be safe and well. Thinking in that way, I have to give up on this much. I have to stay at home," he added.
Mushfiq has never stayed so long out of batting. He tries to use different ways to do practice at home every day to satisfy his mind.
"I have not been able to bat for a long time. This has never happened in my career. My wife also says, You have been out of practice for so long, this is an incredible thing. But what can I do, it is not in my hands. Even after that, I take all the bats I have at home every day, try to do something," Mushfiq concluded.
