Former Bangladesh captain Khaled Mashud said that he had refused to work as a selector of Bangladesh national team as differences of opinion in terms of money.
Bangladesh team is selected by two full-time selectors and one position has been vacant since a very long time and BCB has offered that role to the former wicket-keeper batsman.

The 44 years old former wicket-keeper batsman also revealed that he also had a problem with the BCB salary structure as well while taking up full time role as selectors
‘’ I have not refused the post of selectors but the remuneration that BCB offered me for the post is very small. It is not possible to work full time with what BCB has offered to me. I can work part-time for BCB with that money,’’ Mashud was quoted in a Bengali daily.
‘’This will not help me to work as a selector because the selectors always have to look for the performance of the player,’’ he said.
‘’They have to watch the players playing in different ground and when I will work as a full-time selector I have to leave all my other work and so I will also have to consider my remuneration at that time,’’ he said.
‘’I still have not refused that role .i have told if they offer me good remuneration I will consider it as wel''l he added
