Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis said on Sunday that they are providing food assistance to 76 clubs from Premier Division to Third Divison by giving 30 packets of food to respective clubs.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has stood by the distressed people who are suffering due to the coronavirus from the very beginning and gave financial assistance to most of BCB staff.
The BCB has also provided cash assistance to first-class cricketers and women cricketers outside the contracted cricketers. This time, the country's highest cricket body has helped the victims in a different way. The BCB stood by the office staff, team boy, massage man and all the employees of the cricket clubs in Dhaka.
The BCB has provided special assistance to the office staff, team boy and other staff in a total of 76 cricket clubs including Premier Cricket League (12 clubs), First Division (20 clubs), Second Division (20 clubs) and Third Division (24 teams).
However, it is learned that the head of the board Nazmul Hasan Papon did not send it as a help-cooperation, but as a 'gift item'.
Ali Hossain, member secretary of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis [CCDM] confirmed this to Cricfrenzy and said that 30 packets to each 76 club has been arranged and already have been provided thoroughly.
"30 packets of food has been delivered to 76 clubs from Premier to Third Division. We will continue to deliver it," Ali Hossain said.
The CCDM member secretary also said that those who haven't received any packet can contact them and collect their packet.
"Also, those who haven't received it yet can collect it from us by contacting us," Ali Hossain concluded.
