Bangladesh’s head coach Russell Domingo said that he is disappointed as his team could not keep up the winning momentum that they gathered through winning against Zimbabwe due to coronavirus pandemic.
The coronavirus outbreak has halted all kinds of sports worldwide for a long time and it is uncertain about when the matches will continue again in the near future. Most of the member boards of International Cricket Council [ICC] are facing money crunch due to postponement of series and tournaments. Boards are thinking of many alternative ways to resume the matches.

After his collaboration with the national team on 17 August 2019, then Bangladesh team toured to India and Pakistan. Where they failed miserably and then faced against Zimbabwe in a home condition. Where the Tigers won spectacularly. A lot of record-breaking events occurred in that series. And also the team and the coaching staff all were motivated to do well in the upcoming series as well. But then the pandemic moment came which shattered everything.
"Disappointed, of course. A good series went against Zimbabwe. Then all the game stopped. We started the journey, now was the time to move on from there. It got stuck,’’ Domingo was quoted in a Bengali daily.
However, Domingo is also thinking positively about the break and considering this rest after a continuous series will not be bad for the players.
"It is also true that at this time cricketers have got the opportunity to stay away from the game. They have been busy for the last six-seven months. BPL, India-Pakistan tour — all in all, it was a busy schedule with the continuous games. The rest may not be as bad for the cricketers as everyone thinks." He concluded.
