Bangladesh pace bowler Shafiul Islam said he felt really bad after being dropped from the Bangladesh national team in the 2019 world cup.

The right arm pace bowler was earlier part of two previous world cup for Bangladesh in 2011 and 2015.
Shafiul felt that he was in better shape in 2019 world cup but perceived really bad feeling for not getting picked in the mega event as he told a leading bangle newspaper,
"It is true that I was more hopeful of playing in the 2019 world cup. I was part of the New Zealand team before the World Cup. Most of the players from that squad was selected for the World Cup. I was also hopeful about my chances. I felt really bad after not being picked in the 2019 World Cup squad," Shafiul said.
"I got chance in the 2015 World Cup, after coming back from injury. I was in better shape before the 2019 World Cup and doing really well at that time. I also felt very bad when everybody left the country to play in the World Cup. Every country picks their best team for the World Cup. Bangladesh may have also picked their best team. In my opinion I could have done really well at the World Cup as I was bowling really well at that time and was injury-free." He added.
Shafiul made his international debut 10 yeard ago but felt injury is one of the main reason for him not yet establishing in the playing eleven.
