Saifuddin to play as specialist batsman in BPL!

As the recurring back injury has already been sidelined him for three months, Bangladesh pace bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin may get another option to come back to cricket.
he may play only as batsman in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), dedicated to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shiekh Mujibur Rahman.
The BPL is scheduled to be held in December and BCB chief physician Dr. Devashis Chowdhury said they may permit Saifuddin, a pace bowling all-rounder to play the tournament as a specialist batsman if his recovery process goes on as expected way.
Saifuddin currently has only problem to bowl as he feels pain on his back during the bowling. His situation is such critical that the BCB mulls biomechanical assessment of his problem.
For the time being, the Bangladesh team management advised him to abstain from bowling and running completely for the next three months.
“In this sort of injury, the only medication is to take full rest and do the rehab,” said Dr. Chowdhury. “He can’t bowl or run for the next two or three months. He will under intense observation in whole November. If the recovery is satisfactory, he can bat in net in December.”
“The BPL will start in December. If we see that he can bat without any problem, he may play there but that would depend on the team management.”
Saifuddin however disappointed not to play cricket for such a long period but he is okay with it, considering it as the part and parcel of a cricketer’s life.
“It is really disappointing to be out of the ground for such a long period. But it’s the part of cricket life. My main focus is to keep me fit as early as possible.”
The injury however has already ruled Saifuddin out from the series against India.
