Comilla Victorians opener Tamim Iqbal said that his maiden T20 hundred in Bangladesh Premier League will help him take the confidence in the international platform.
Tamim Iqbal scored unbeaten 141 off 61 balls to guide Victorians to a 17-run win over Dhaka Dynamites and help them clinch the BPL title for the second time in the out of the six editions.
“The hundred teaches me how I take this and play in T20 internationals. Most attacks won’t have the quality that Dhaka had in their bowling attack today,’’ said Tamim.

Tamim added that the innings was important as it helped him fulfill his dream of winning a BPL trophy as he made his maiden appearance on the final of the tournament.
Despite reaching many mile stone BPL always seemed to be not his tournament as he could make it to the final on his sixth attempt.
‘’There were opportunities in the last couple of years. It was due, certainly. When a franchise picks me, they pin their hopes on us. I got out in the 70s and 80s with 5-6 overs left, so to get it in a final, is really great,’’ he said.
“It was very personal. I always wanted to win a cup. The monkey is off my back,’’ he said adding that the most satisfying thing for him remains in the fact that a Bangladeshi did the job in the BPL final.
“A Bangladeshi did the job in a big occasion in the BPL. I think this is the best achievement from today’s innings. Normally an overseas player does the job on the big day in previous occasions. I hope my innings inspires the others from Bangladesh. They don’t need to wait for others to do it. We can also do it
