Rajshahi Kings left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny said on Wednesday that they dedicate their 20-run win over Dhaka Dynamites in BPL on the name of their mother.
Kings on Tuesday announced that they were very proud to reveal that they will bear their mother’s names in their jerseys against Dhaka Dynamites at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
‘Mothers can inspire millions of people and it is no exception to the Kings. We consider this venture from us as a tribute to real backbones of our nation,’’ stated Kings through an official email.
Kings squad members looked determined not to waste the opportunity of showing their tribute to their mother by stunning the star-studded Dynamites.
Arafat Sunny played a big role behind their win with his bowling figure of 3-8 and later when he arrived in post match press conference the topic was raised without any delay by journalist present in the press conference.
‘’It’s a matter of proud to play matches carrying mother’s name on back. Our management system had it pre-planned. Most important part is we won the match today. And this is the very day when I won the match carrying my mother’s name in the jersey,’’ said Sunny.
‘’Obviously we dedicated it to all our mothers. The Almighty have accepted our mother’s prayers that’s why we have won the match. Since, Dhaka is performing too well, they have won all the matches, so there was a huge pressure playing against the team. We have won a big match today so it’s an additional achievement for us,’’ he said.
