Khulna Titans left-arm spinner Taijul Islam said on Tuesday that they were confident of winning the game against Rajshahi Kings despite posting a moderate score on the board as the wicket was helping the bowlers at Sylhet International Stadium on Tuesday.
Taijul Islam and Mahmudullah shared five wickets between them as Khulna Titans defeated Rajshahi Kings by 25 runs to end their losing run in the Bangladesh Premier League in Sylhet.

Titans owed their first win in the tournament after four consecutive losses to their bowlers as they successfully defended a total of 128-9 by bowling out Rajshahi for 103 runs on a slow wicket at the Sylhet International Stadium.
Spin duo Taijul and Mahmudullah kept it extremely tight picking up 3-10 and 2-12 respectively before Junaid Khan, who claimed 3-26 to fold hopeless Rajshahi in 19.5 overs.
‘’Our batsmen understood from the beginning that it will be tough wicket to bat so our aim was to post as much as we can in the scoreboard because we felt that it might get even tougher in the second innings. We are happy that we could bowl according to our plan,’’ Taijul Islam told reporters after the match.
‘’It is not slow but there was lot of turn on the wicket. It was not a batting friendly wicket rather it helped the bowlers as the wicket was assisting spin while it was gripping the cutter,’’ he said.
‘It is not that we[ bowler] did not get help in the Dhaka but here there was turn as well as bounce so it was difficult because the batsmen could not connect the ball properly. Lot of times it went to the silly region while there were times when it went to gully or there was top edge,’’ he added
