Bangladesh are looking forward against India leaving behind the agony Afghanistan in the ongoing Asia Cup, said skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza on Thursday.

Bangladesh will take on India in Dubai to open their account in the Super Four after being handed with a 136-run defeat by Afghanistan.

Rashid Khan scored a 31-ball fifty to propel Afghanistan to a good total, then bagged two wickets and also came up with a brilliant run-out to leave their opponent awestruck.

‘’I think Afghanistan outplayed us from the 40th over in the first innings. Our batting was not up to the mark and the bowling in last 10 overs was poor,’’ Mashrafee told reporters after the match.

“It will be difficult to look forward if we hold on to the past. The important part of the tournament starts now and we have to think about it[ match against India],’’

‘’It would have been better if we could carry the [winning] momentum,’’ he said.

‘’Time is very short and we need to recover quickly so that we can play against India on a positive mindset,’’ he added.

Mashrafee added that he is looking forward to the next match against India and the return of Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman will bolster their strength.

The duo were rested as team management wanted them to be fresh against India as both were nursing their respectibe injuries.

‘’We have to be fresh for tomorrow's big match,’’ said Mashrafee.

‘’It is hard to recover from the heat and back to back matches. Hopefully we will come up with something better tomorrow and play hard,’’ he said.

‘’Mushy had a good rest, Mustafizur is coming back from an injury as well so they will play tomorrow since it is a game of consequence,’’ he said.

‘’India is a more professional side so they will make us pay if we do silly mistakes and considering that we must be on our toes,’’ he added.

‘’If we can play to our potential we can come back hard against them,’’ he added
