Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that the absence of India skipper Virat Kohli will certainly be a plus point for every team in the upcoming Asia Cup.
Indian team management decided to rest Kohli in the tournament, which is scheduled to start from September 15 in the UAE, and opted for Rohit Sharma to lead the team.

“It is up to India, how they want to manage their team” Masharfe told reporters at Mirpur during the pre-tournament presser.
“Obviously he is the best batsman in the world right now,” he said. “But it's true, other teams will be happy because of his absence. We don't have any match against them in the group stage. That's why we are not thinking about it right now. But personally I feel, Kohli's absence is an opportunity for every team.”
Earlier this year, India played in the Nidahas trophy without Virat Kohli and was the successful team in that tri-nation T20I tournament. India opener Rohit Sharma was the caption of that team.
This time Rohit is going to lead the team in the Asia cup. Unlike the Nidahas trophy, Rohit will have the experienced MS Dhoni on his side. After England series, Rohit and Dhoni are going to join the team feeling fresh and ready.
Rest of the Indian frontline cricketers will join the Asia cup with the scars of Test-series defeat against England, in England.
