The 11th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to begin on December 30, as confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Matches will be held across Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet, continuing the tradition of the previous seasons.
BCB President Faruque Ahmed announced plans to bring a fresh perspective to this year’s tournament. In collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, BCB will host both the "Bangladesh Premier League 2025" and the "Youth Festival 2025" as part of a joint initiative.
Details of the plans will be unveiled at an event in Dhaka tomorrow, where the official mascot of BPL 2025 will also be revealed. The program will feature a special screening of the documentary "July-Onirban," dedicated to the martyrs of the July-August revolution.
The event will be graced by the presence of Chief Guest Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives.
