Shakib Al Hasan hinted on Wednesday that he might rejoin the Bangladesh national team after the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, where he is leading the Bangla Tigers.
The T10 tournament kicks off today, with Shakib’s Bangla Tigers facing Samp Army in their opening match. The competition will conclude with the final on December 2.
Speaking at a captains' press conference, Shakib shared his thoughts on the tournament, saying, “I can’t disclose our plans now. All teams here are strong and aiming for the title. We share the same goal and will do our best. I believe we have a well-balanced team.”
When asked when he plans to play for Bangladesh again, Shakib replied with a sly smile, “After this tournament.” This response suggests that he might be available for Bangladesh’s three-match ODI series against West Indies, starting December 8.
Regarding his future plans, including the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Shakib kept his focus on the present, stating, “All focus on this tournament.”
