Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad for the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in the UAE.
Batsman Litton Das is a notable omission from the 15-member squad. He was not considered for selection as he is still suffering from a fever that kept him out of the second Test against South Africa.
Shakib Al Hasan, who is now only keen to play the ODI format, made himself unavailable for the series due to lack of preparation.
Pacer Nahid Rana was got his maiden ODI call-up as spinner Nasum Ahmed returned to the ODI squad for the first time since the 2023 ODI World Cup.
