Khaled Mahmud Sujon resigns as BCB director

Former Bangladesh captain Khaled Mahmud Sujon has resigned from his post as Bangladesh Cricket Board director.
The news was confirmed by the BCB on Wednesday afternoon (September 11). Sujon had been associated with the board for a long time, but the reason for his resignation has not yet been disclosed.
Khaled Mahmud Sujon, a medium-pace bowler and middle-order batsman, played for the Bangladesh national cricket team from 1998 to 2006. He also captained the team from 2003 to 2004. In 2018, before the tri-nation series, he took on the role of technical director for the Bangladesh national cricket team.
He most recently served as the chairman of the Game Development Committee. At the same time, he was also the vice-president of the Cricket Operations Committee.
In late August, BCB President Faruque Ahmed had mentioned after a board meeting that two directors, Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel and Tanvir Ahmed Titu, had also stepped down. Nadel had been serving as the chairman of the women’s division, while Titu chaired the media committee.
Also Naimur Rahman Durjoy, who was a Member of Parliament of the fallen Awami League government, has submitted his resignation to BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
