On Saturday, the Pakistan Shaheens struggled with the bat, posting a modest 179 runs in their first innings against Bangladesh HP in Darwin's ongoing four-day match.

Kamran Ghulam led the effort for the Shaheens with a solid 48 runs, supported by Tayyab Tahir with 30 and Umar Amin with 25.

However, the team faced significant challenges, with several key players failing to make substantial contributions. Haseebullah managed 18 runs, while skipper Sahibzada Farhan and Omair Bin Yousuf could only score 4 and 7 runs, respectively.

Bangladesh HP's bowlers seized the opportunity, with Ripon Mondal taking four wickets and Rejaur Rahman Raja securing three, effectively dismantling the Shaheens' lineup.

Earlier, Bangladesh HP were all out for 258 runs in their first innings. Khurram Shehzad was the standout bowler for the Shaheens, claiming three key wickets, while Kamran Ghulam, Kashif Ali, and Faisal Akram each picked up two wickets.

As Bangladesh began their second innings, they faced a tough start, losing opener Parvez Hossain Emon for just 7 runs, dismissed by Khurram Shehzad in the third over.

Amite Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan Joy then attempted to stabilize the innings, but their efforts were interrupted when Amite Hasan was dismissed for 25 runs off 61 deliveries by Faisal Akram.

The pressure mounted as they lost Hasan Murad for a duck, with Khurram Shehzad taking his second wicket of the innings.

By the end of the second day, Bangladesh were at 84 runs for the loss of three wickets, leading by 163 runs. Mahmudul Hasan Joy remained unbeaten on 39, with Aich Mollah accompanying him at the crease on 8 runs.
