The race for the No.1 ranked all-rounder ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup got spicy as two players now sharing the top spot in the latest ICC Men's T20 Player Rankings update. Just 23 rating points separate the top five all-rounders on the list, highlighting the fierce competition.

Bangladesh veteran Shakib Al Hasan and Sri Lanka captain Wanindu Hasaranga are tied for the top position with just over a fortnight remaining before the T20 World Cup begins.

Shakib recently lost three rating points after participating in two matches during Bangladesh's five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, where grabbed five wickets and scored only 22 runs with the bat.

This allowed Hasaranga to catch up and share the top spot with the seasoned Bangladeshi player. Close behind them is Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi, trailing by only 10 rating points.

Interestingly, Shakib was recently dethroned from the No.1 position in the ODI all-rounder rankings by Mohammad Nabi, marking a shift in the all-rounder hierarchy across formats.

There is also some joy for a pair of Bangladesh pacers on the updated list for T20I bowlers, with right-armer Taskin Ahmed jumping three places to 23rd and teammate Mustafizur Rahman moving up five spots to 25th after some good performances against Zimbabwe.
