The Bangladesh women's cricket team continued to struggle with their batting, succumbing to a 56-run defeat (DLS method) against India in the rain-affected fourth T20I at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The loss extended India's lead to 4-0 in the five-match series, leaving Bangladesh with just one chance to avoid a series whitewash in the upcoming final T20I.

India, having already secured the series with three consecutive wins, set a revised target of 125 runs after the game was shortened to 14 overs per side due to rain. Bangladesh's response was underwhelming, with the team managing only 68 for seven in their allotted overs.

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front, scoring a brisk 39 runs off 26 balls, including five boundaries. Contributions from other Indian batters, such as Smriti Mandhana (22 off 18), Dayalan Hemalatha (22 off 14), and Richa Ghosh (24 off 15), helped India post a challenging total of 122 for six in 14 overs

Bangladesh's bowlers, particularly pacer Marufa Akter and legspinner Rabeya Khan, took two wickets each, but it was not enough to contain India's aggressive batting lineup.

The Tigresses' batting woes persisted, with only three batters reaching double figures. Opener Dilara Akter top-scored with 21 runs off 25 balls, while Rubya Haider contributed 13 off 17 balls. Shorifa Khatun remained unbeaten with 11 runs from as many balls.

India's dominance in this series has been evident, and they now have the opportunity to complete a clean sweep in the final match on Thursday at the same venue.
