Shoaib Malik's late show propelled Fortune Barishal to register a 5-wicket win over Khulna Tigers in the BPL Match-19 at the Sylhet Interntional Cricket Stadium.
Malik struck a six and a boundary in the last over after Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit four in the first ball when Barishal required 18 runs to win the match. Malik remained unbeaten on 41 off 25 balls.
Miraz contributed with a quick 15-ball 31 having struck a boundary and three sixes.
Barishal were reeling on 101-5 when the duo formed a match-winning partnership of 55 runs.
Faheem Ashraf bagged three wickets for Khulna to trouble the batters but it was not enough for the side to clinch the victory.
Earlier, Mohammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf were late to help Khulna Tigers post 155-8 in 20 overs.
Nawaz played a valiant knock 38 off 23 deliveries, hitting four sixes and Faheem stormed with a 13-ball 32 with five boundaries and a maximum.
Parvez Hossain Emon played an anchoring knock of 33 off 24 following the departure of captain Anamul Haque Bijoy (12).
Malik and Taijul Islam each took a double for Barishal.
