Adelaide Strikers all out Sydney Thunder for 15 runs in BBL

The Adelaide Strikers bowled the Sydney Thunder out for just 15, the best bowling performance in Big Bash League (BBL) history.
The Thunder appeared to be in command after limiting the Strikers to 9-139 after losing the toss and being sent into bat on Friday night, but they were bowled out in 35 balls, falling far short of the previous record for the lowest score in the competition (57).
Henry Thornton (5-3) and Wes Agar (4-6) ran riot as the Thunder limped to 6-9 in the powerplay, and were all out just eleven balls later.
Adelaide's two marquee bowlers Peter Siddle and Rashid Khan did not even need to bowl such was the rapid nature of the Thunder's collapse.
Brendan Doggett led the Thunder in scoring with four runs, all of which came from the only boundary of an inning that lasted less than 40 minutes.
The Strikers began their innings with spinner Matt Short, who dismissed opener Matthew Gilkes with a length ball that the opener hit to point. Gilkes' second duck in as many balls this tournament, but the Strikers weren't done yet.
Short took an early contender for catch of the tournament by jumping in the slips for a one-handed grab to dismiss Rilee Rossouw, whose three runs made him the highest scorer of the out-and-out batters.
Thornton dismissed captain Jason Sangha for the second of five ducks in the innings, before Agar also dismissed Alex Hales for a duck.
The Thunder will have to do some serious soul-searching after a demoralizing innings that has the potential to derail a season.
Earlier, Chris Lynn and Colin de Grandhomme combined for 66 runs, the only real highlight of the Strikers' modest 9-139 innings.
But it was more than enough as the Strikers increased from two to two to begin the season.
