Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar retired from international cricket in 2013. His offspring, Arjun Tendulkar, exhibited a fine all-round performance in the ongoing global T20 series organised by the Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia. The youngster gained attention of Australian media after his game on Thursday. Unlike his father, Arjun is a left-handed all-rounder.

Arjun Tendulkar scored 48 runs off 27 deliveries and scalped four wickets while playing for the Cricket Club of India in that match. Following the game at the Bradman Oval he reportedly said, "I'm just so privileged to play on the ground named after the Bradman, it's unbelievable,"

"I just got stronger [growing up], grew taller and I loved bowling fast from my childhood. I thought I may well be a quick bowler because there aren't many in India," he added.

The 18-year-old does not seem to be concerned about any pressure. He said, "I don't take that pressure, when I bowl I just hit the deck hard on every ball and when I bat just play my shots and choose which bowlers to take on and which bowlers not to."

Arjun Tendulkar showcased a number of good performances in 2017 and his contributions in the Cooch Behar Trophy for Mumbai helped the team win a number of matches. He picked up a fifer against Madhya Pradesh in November and that was followed by a four-wicket haul against Assam. He picked up another four-for against Railways later in that season.
