Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will send a show cause notice to PCB for cancelling the scheduled tour in Bangladesh this year. After returning to Bangladesh from Dubai on Friday, BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon informed this to media. “We are yet to receive any official statement from them,” said Papon. “Once we get it, we will take necessary legal steps against them. Probably we will issue them a show cause notice for calling the tour off”, told Papon. According to the future tour program (FTP) of ICC Pakistan was scheduled to play two tests, three ODIs and a T20Is in Bangladesh during July and August. But surprisingly, PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan announced on Wednesday that Pakistan will not visit Bangladesh this year. “We had spoken about the possibility of hosting them [Bangladesh in Pakistan] this year,” said Shaharyar. “Pakistan have toured Bangladesh twice without them reciprocating, and we feel we cannot tour Bangladesh for the third straight time. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the tour, and will explore another window in the next year or so”, PCB Chief further explained.
