The proposed white-ball series between Bangladesh and India has run into fresh uncertainty, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) putting the media rights process on hold, according to Cricbuzz.

Earlier this month, the BCB invited bids for the television and digital media rights for the six-match series, with the tender process scheduled to conclude on July 22.

However, the board has yet to release the Expression of Interest (EoI) documents, leaving broadcasters questioning whether the series will go ahead as planned.

A BCB source told Cricbuzz that the delay was due to a change in strategy rather than concerns over the India series.

The BCB had previously announced the schedule for the series, with three ODIs and three T20Is set to be played in Bangladesh between August 1 and 13.

The tour has remained under a cloud due to strained diplomatic relations between the two countries in recent times.

As things stand, the series has not been officially postponed or cancelled, but its future remains uncertain.
