The all-rounder forced his way back into the Bangladesh setup with an impressive ODI comeback against Australia, scoring 157 runs in three matches, including two half-centuries, helping Bangladesh secure a historic series victory.
His performances also earned him a nomination for the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for June.
However, Musaddek failed to carry that form into the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe, managing just 10 runs in two innings. Despite the disappointment, he remains confident of bouncing back in the T20I series.
"My expectations of myself are very high. I had a good series after returning, but I couldn't perform in the last two matches. Now I have to play even better, fulfill the team's requirements and help the team win," Musaddek said.
Bangladesh played the Test and ODI series in Harare, but the three-match T20I series will be held in Bulawayo, where Musaddek believes conditions will present a different challenge.
"The conditions here are a bit different from Harare. There is more wind here. If I get the opportunity, I'll try to contribute as much as I can so the team can win. My personal goal has always been the same—to help Bangladesh win and perform whenever the team needs me," he added.
