Nahid, who was previously expected to return early for national duty, will now rejoin his franchise for the PSL final scheduled on May 3.
The decision follows a reassessment by the board, taking into account the importance of featuring in a major franchise final as part of the player’s development.
According to the BCB, both the team management and medical staff have cleared the pacer, confirming that his participation will not negatively impact his fitness, workload management, or availability for upcoming international fixtures.
The board emphasized that playing in a high-pressure final is a valuable experience and aligns with Nahid’s long-term growth as an international cricketer.
Despite the extended stay in the PSL, Nahid remains on track to return in time for Bangladesh’s red-ball commitments.
He is expected to be available for selection for the opening Test against Pakistan, which begins in Dhaka on May 8.
