The injury occurred during Lahore Qalandars’ clash against Multan Sultans at Gaddafi Stadium on April 3, when Parvez collided with teammate Asif Ali on the field.
Medical examinations, including MRI scans, later confirmed a ligament tear, forcing the young batter to begin a period of rest and rehabilitation.
As a precaution, and following medical advice, Parvez was already sidelined for the April 9 match against Islamabad United to prevent further complications.
After a thorough assessment of his condition, team management has now decided to release him from the squad. The franchise is expected to announce a replacement in due course.
Despite his brief appearance in the tournament, Parvez showed promise with the bat. He featured in three matches for Lahore Qalandars, scoring 71 runs at an impressive strike rate of 161.36.
His standout performance came against Multan Sultans, where he played a fluent knock of 45 runs.
Parvez is set to leave the squad following Lahore’s match against Peshawar Zalmi, with the franchise extending full support for his recovery.
The Qalandars management also expressed their best wishes for his swift return to fitness and future success.
