Mahmudullah Riyad may have retired from international cricket over a year ago and recently turned 40, but the veteran all-rounder continues to remain active at the top level.

He has signed for Prime Bank Cricket Club ahead of the upcoming Dhaka Premier League.

Mahmudullah previously featured in four seasons for Mohammedan Sporting Club, but has now switched to Prime Bank, one of the league’s most consistent sides.

The transfer was officially completed on Saturday at the CCDM office at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

He will be joined by several experienced and promising cricketers at Prime Bank, including Azizul Hakim Tamim, Shahadat Hossain Dipu, Shamim Hossain Patowary, Alis Al Islam and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.

Expressing satisfaction with the squad, the former Bangladesh captain said the team has a strong balance across departments, with depth in both batting and bowling.

Mahmudullah is set to return to Prime Bank after nearly a decade, having last played for the club in 2015. He thanked the club for the opportunity and praised its professionalism, particularly in ensuring consistent facilities and timely payments for players.
