In a statement, the BCB described Aminul Haque’s elevation to the key role in national sports administration as a significant moment for the country’s sporting fraternity.
The board noted that his leadership on the field had inspired a generation of supporters and young athletes across Bangladesh.
BCB President Aminul Islam said the appointment of a distinguished sports personality to the ministry reflects the importance of practical experience gained at the highest level of competition.
“The appointment of a distinguished sports figure like Aminul Haque as State Minister for Youth & Sports is a significant step for Bangladesh. Having led the national football team with pride, he understands the realities, challenges and aspirations of athletes firsthand,” he said.
