The BCCI selection committee has chosen Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana to join the squad for the first two T20Is of the five-match series against Zimbabwe as they will replace Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Sudharsan made his ODI debut in South Africa last year, Jitesh has played nine T20Is for India since debuting at the Asian Games in 2023, and Harshit, who had a strong IPL season with the Kolkata Knight Riders, is yet to play at the international level.

Samson, Dube, and Jaiswal were part of the Indian squad that won the T20 World Cup on June 29.

Their return from Barbados was delayed due to a hurricane, and they will travel to India with the rest of the team before heading to Harare for the final three T20Is.

India has selected a relatively inexperienced squad for this series, with Shubman Gill as captain.

The series will run from July 6 to July 14, with all five matches taking place at the Harare Sports Club.
