Hridoy shines as Jaffna trounce Shakib's Galle

Jaffna Kings defeated Galle Titans by eight wickets in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
Towhid Hridoy quickfired with 23-ball 44, smashing two consecutive sixes to finish-off in style as they chased down the mediocre target of 118 runs in 12.4 overs.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz top-scored with 54 runs which featured three 4's and five sixes. While Hridoy hit two boundaries and four sixes to play his swashbuckling knock.
For Galle, Shakib al Hasan was the pick of the bowling attack, returned figure of two wickets conceding 31 runs in his four overs.
Earlier, Dunith Wellalage picked up four wickets that propelled Jaffna to restrict Galle to 117-9 in 20 overs. Skipper Dasun Shanaka scored the hisghest 30 runs which he acquired facing 24 deliveries with two four's and an equal number of sixes.
Apart from Dunith, Nandre Burger picked up a coule of wickets for Jaffna.
