Bangladesh A suffered a daunting eight-wicket defeat against Pakistan Shaheens in the second 50-over game at the DXC Arena in Darwin on Tuesday.
The Shaheens skittled out Bangladesh for just 78 runs and chased down a below-par target in just 17 overs.
Usman Khan smashed an unbeaten 39 off 45 balls, scoring five fours and a six. Tayyab Tahir provided solid support with an unbeaten 17 off 36 balls, hitting one boundary.
Opener Sahibzada Farhan fell early for a duck, dismissed by Ripon Mondol in the second over.
Ripon Mondol was the pick of the bowling attack for Bangladesh ‘A’, claiming both opening wickets.
Earlier, after opting to bowl first, Pakistan Shaheens' pace bowlers rattled down with the new ball striking at regular intervals to bowled Bangladesh for 78 in 24.3 overs.
Parvez, the top scorer, managed to enter double figures (19) among the top five batters. Mahfuzur Rahman (12) and Shamim Hossain (13) stitched a 21-run partnership before the wickets started falling again as the Bangladesh A lost their last five scalps for a mere 25 runs.
Imran Jnr grabbed three wickets, Khurram, Jahandad and Mubasir each picked up two wickets.
