T20 WC 2024: Bangladesh placed in ‘group of death’ with SA, SL

Bangladesh are set to face a tough challenge in the upcoming T20 World Cup being placed in Group D along with South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal.


According to The Telegraph, India, Pakistan have been drawn into Group A, with Group B consists of defending champions England, Australia, Scotland, Namibia and Oman.

In Group C, West Indies will meet New Zealand, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea and Uganda.


In the final pool Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka, South Africa, Netherlands and Nepal the matches will be played in both the USA and West Indies.


The top two teams from all four groups will then advance to the Super Eight stage of the tournament.


As per reported the International Cricket Council (ICC) has shared it with the competing nations and, barring any final changes, will be officially announced imminently.


The Super Eight draw will be announced at the same time as the pool stage, with participating teams pre-assigned a group for this part of the competition, based on their initial seeding.
