Tamim Iqbal, the interim captain of Bangladesh knows how special Shakib Al Hasan is but for a change now, he is totally reluctant to talk on the ace all-rounder given the fact that he is not with the team at this moment.
Shakib was granted leave to take a time off from the cricket for personal matter as he wants to perform Hajj and thereby he is not the part of Bangladesh’s squad in three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka.

He has been an integral part of the team and his contribution is undeniable. The Bangladesh talisman was the highest run-getter for Tigers in the recently concluded World Cup.
Among all the other Bangladeshi players Shakib's performance was stand out. He scored 606 runs in the World Cup and took 11 wickets to become the only player in the history of the World Cup to do so. Shakib has also made his way into the best XI of World Cup as the first-ever Bangladeshi player.
So, when asked about Shakib, Tamim said he doesn't want to talk about a player who is not on the side rather he wants to talk about the players who are in the squad now.
"The fifteen who are in the squad all are capable. Actually, I don't want to talk about someone [Shakib] who is not in the team. I know he is special. He has played tremendously for Bangladesh. But he is not on this tour. So, I am not talking about him. I have 15 players in my squad, I can talk about them. They all are very capable," Tamim said on Monday.
